The list of cultural monuments in Tauberbischofsheim- Impfingen lists the cultural monuments of the Tauberbischofsheim district of Impfingen . This list is a partial list of the list of cultural monuments in Tauberbischofsheim . The basis for this list is the list of architectural and art monuments published by the Stuttgart Regional Council as of February 15, 2012.

This list is not legally binding. Legally binding information is only available on request from the Lower Monument Protection Authority of the city of Tauberbischofsheim.

In 1988, all wayside shrines in the districts of Tauberbischofsheim were recorded by the Baden-Württemberg State Monuments Office . In this context, over 30 wayside shrines were counted on the Impfinger district. In addition, an Impfinger wayside shrine was designated in the same year, which leads around the village as a circular route.

It is the wayside shrine no. 7 of 18 of the Impfing wayside shrine.

1865 Small monument No. 05 (Impfingen): wayside shrine, from 1865, so-called Buscher wayside shrine, with donor's inscription. It is at the beginning of the Taubertal Cycle Path at the end of the village in the direction of Tauberbischofsheim, at the streets Zum Wehrgarten / Am Rain, has a three-tier structure with a pieta, a communion scene and a ray monstrance, also serves as a processional altar, for example on Corpus Christi. It is the wayside shrine no. 5 of 18 of the Impfing wayside shrine.

unknown Nepomuk figure (on the Tauber Bridge). During the Second World War, a farmer from Impfing brushed the wayside shrine with his hay cart, so that it was thrown into the Tauber. One arm and the cross of the figure broke off. This damage was only restored as part of the renovation of the Tauber Bridge by the city of Tauberbischofsheim in the 2010s.

It is the wayside shrine no. 4 of 18 of the Impfinger wayside shrine.

14./15. Century Small monument No. 15 (Impfingen): Atonement Cross, 14./15. Century, on the boundary between Tauberbischofsheim and Großrinderfeld. It is an atonement cross with a chiseled sword and a recessed diamond, the shaft and cross bar are beveled at the edges. It is considered to be one of the oldest atonement crosses in the area that does not have a year. It is the wayside shrine no. 15 of 18 of the Impfingen wayside shrine. Inside there are some interesting tombstones (for example tombstones of former Impfinger pastors on the north side and on the cemetery chapel) and other small monuments. In the middle of the cemetery there is a crucifixion group (small memorial No. 09). The Impfinger Kreuzweg begins at the cemetery (small monument no. 08.01-08.14).

1884 Small memorial No. 08 (01 to 14) (Impfingen): Fourteen stations of the cross with devotional cross (material entirety). The stations of the cross are located uphill from the cemetery on the left side of Hohenstrasse. The coordinates refer to the beginning of the Way of the Cross (1st station). It is station no. 8 of 18 of the Impfingen wayside shrine (Kreuzweg with devotional cross). The fourteen stations of the cross were built in 1884 together with an adjoining final cross. These are cast iron stations, each of which is painted and has a wooden cross at the end. The exact author is not known. The stations of the cross were cast by a company from the Würzburg area, which also cast the similar stations of the Schweinberger Kreuzweg (in the Neckar-Odenwald district) as well as the stations of the nearby way of the cross to the pilgrimage chapel Liebfrauenbrunn near Werbach.

1799 Small monument no. 10 (Impfingen): 14 holy wayside shrine (near the water high reservoir), from 1799. Located between the stations of the cross above a former water high container, has a large relief plate, the relief shows the 14 holy helpers in need. An old pilgrimage path leads past this wayside shrine to the Basilica of Vierzehnheiligen. It is the wayside shrine No. 10 of 18 of the Impfinger wayside shrine.

1885 Small monument no. 11 (Impfingen): Holy Family wayside shrine, from 1885. Located at an Aussiedlerhof, the wayside shrine bears a relief of the Holy Family. It is the wayside shrine no. 11 of 18 of the Impfinger wayside shrine. A farmer in Impfingen is said to have had two girls with his wife. He prayed to God for a male offspring to continue his farm and promised to erect a wayside shrine in gratitude. After he erected this wayside shrine, he and his wife had four healthy sons

1598 Small memorial No. 13 (Impfingen): Murder Cross, from 1598, referred to as the Mund's Cross. Background: A son of the Mund family was beaten to death three days before the Martini Festival. The Mund cross stands on the Wegrain between two emigrant farms (Werr and Rudolf). It is the oldest wayside shrine in the Impfinger district. It is reminiscent of an assassination attempt on Matthias Mund, a citizen of Impfingen. The killer's surname was carved out of the stone many years ago. The wayside shrine was restored in 2002 by the Impfinger Heimatverein. It is the wayside shrine no. 13 of 18 of the Impfinger wayside shrine.

18th century Catholic parish church St. Nikolaus, first half of the 18th century, Gothic tower and choir, extension 1700–1704 and 1904, baroque frescoes in the Gothic reticulated vault, altars from the workshop of the Schäfer brothers, Karlstadt am Main (1770/72).
Impfingen is one of the few places in southern Germany that has two village saints. First, the village of Holy St. Nicholas, on the other hand the village of Holy St. James (see the James Fountain with James statue on the "Plan", the old town center) as the second local saint, who used together with the inhabitants of dialed settlement Fahrental (in Fahrentalsgraben located ) was included in the village.

Located on the Lange Steige halfway down the path; represents Christ carrying the cross, who is supposed to carry out the sins of the place; the original, crumbled wayside shrine was replaced by a handcrafted copy. It is the wayside shrine no. 17 of 18 of the Impfing wayside shrine.

Located on the Lange Steige in a house garden, depicts a baroque Immaculate, Maria carries a book and a lily and has a colored star nimbus, Maria is depicted as the victorious conqueror of evil in the world. 1994 Small monument no. 01 (Impfingen): Jakobusbrunnen with a statue of Jakobus, on the "plan" (of the old town center), with a wayside shrine of the second local patron St. Jakobus. Impfingen is one of the few places in southern Germany that has two village saints. On the one hand the village saint St. Nikolaus, on the other hand the village saint St. Jakobus, who was accepted into the village together with the inhabitants of the abandoned Fahrental settlement (formerly located in the Fahrentalsgraben ). The Jakobusbrunnen was built in 1994 as part of a village renovation. It is the wayside shrine No. 1 of 18 of the Impfingen wayside shrine.

The previous picture was stolen in 1980. A replica was made by Martin Weiß, Steinmetz, from Impfingen. A restoration took place in 2002 by the Impfinger Heimatverein. It is the wayside shrine no. 6 of 18 of the Impfinger wayside shrine.
