re. 1527 A stone cross embedded in the retaining wall of the bridge, of regional historical interest.

South of the village, on the north bank of the Freiberg Mulde, walled into the bank wall of the bridge. Stone cross made of porphyry tufa with an incised depiction of a sword and the inscription "1527". Perhaps the cross was created in connection with the construction of the bridge in 1526/27. Until the new bridge was built in 1871/72, the stone cross stood on the center pillar of the old church footbridge. Lt. Kuhfahl (Kuhfahl 1928) is said to have a human face on the back walled in today. According to a legend, “a faithless lover was stabbed to death by the returning soldier on the bridge”.
