Leonardsau Castle | The small hunting lodge was built by Baron Albert de Dietrich . The building complex, adorned with historicizing elements from the Renaissance and Gothic, is plastered, but is structured by sandstone pilaster strips, pilasters and cornices. Turrets and bay windows loosen up the facade. The building was built in several stages. Kern is a villa by architect Louis Feine from the years 1899/1900. A west wing was built in 1909/10 and an east wing in 1921. The property is located in a 9 hectare park. Claude Chabrol shot his film The Tenth Day here in 1971 . Today it serves as the Musée du Cheval et de l'Attelage .

Cour de Gail | Henri-André de Gail was the builder of the noble court, which was built between 1628 and 1630. The family lived in the house until 1827 and then moved into a small castle. The three-storey plastered building with a gable roof is entered via a simple portal on the first floor with an oculus in the gable field. The windows of the facade are coupled with slightly profiled sandstone reveals, on the far right also combined into a triplet. The entrance to a wine press house from 1683 has also been preserved.

Sts-Pierre-et-Paul church | The neo-Gothic church was built in 1872 on the site of a Gothic sacred building that was demolished in 1867. The massive westwork with neo-Gothic tower attachments and three pointed arched portals is striking. Buttresses made of sandstone support the plastered structure. The basilica is dominated by a mighty nave, which is interrupted by a wide transept. Bundle pillars made of sandstone support the pointed arches between the central and side aisles. Individual services continue as pilasters and support the ribbed vaults. An elongated choir with several yokes and a three-sided end connects to the transept.

Hall aux blés | The grain hall was built in 1554 as a slaughterhouse. The upper floors were accessible via a double flight of stairs and were used as a granary in the 19th century. The elongated building was built in the Renaissance style with late Gothic stylistic features directly on the market square opposite the town hall. The large hall on the ground floor is illuminated by large round arches. On the long side, the plastered building on the first floor is carried out with half-timbering. On the gable side with volutes and acroteries there is a balcony with sandstone balustrade, which is flanked by two coupled pairs of windows. Above is a field with the city arms and the date 1554 . A roof turret with a bell crowns the gable. On the south side there is a square turret in the roof area above the eaves.

Hotel de Ville | The town hall was built in 1462 and redesigned by city architect Hans Jüngling in 1521 and again greatly modified between 1846 and 1849. Originally the house was provided with stained glass windows, only one of Hans Baldung Grien's remains today . The three-story plastered building with eleven to three window axes and a hipped roof has a three-axis central projectile made of sandstone on the long sides. A circumferential high sill cornice connects the windows on the first floor, which are decorated with round arches and a straight roof. On the north side it becomes a cantilevered gallery on consoles. Here the facade is painted figuratively. A similar cornice forms the upper end of the structure. Sandstone corner pilaster strips also structure the building. On the narrow side facing the market square, there is a wide bay window on consoles in the middle axis of the first floor. The council chamber is decorated with paneling and wall paintings.

Kappelturm | From the former Gothic chapel church Notre-Dame from 1474 only the tower and choir have been preserved. The nave was demolished in 1873. The five-storey tower was built on an almost square floor plan. The lower floors are made of red sandstone and separated by cornices. They date from the 15th century. The top floor made of ocher-colored sandstone was added in 1596/97. Above that lies a cantilevered parapet tracery. Small corner turrets adorn the balcony of the belfry and are reminiscent of wichhouses . A pointed helmet completes the building.

Mittelbadstub | As early as the Middle Ages there were three public bathhouses in Obernai that belonged to the city's noble families. Only the Mittelbadstub , which the city acquired in 1567 and had rebuilt, has survived. The half-timbered house was used as a bathhouse until 1826. The narrow plastered building, set back slightly from the street, has high and narrow windows on the gable side and a pilaster-framed coat of arms with an eagle in the gable area. Above the portal with a cantilever arch there is a balcony on consoles. The three vaulted halls have been preserved on the ground floor. In addition, wells and drainage channels can still be seen.

Birth house of St. Odilia | The courtyard, known as the birth house of St. Odilia , was built in 1470 to replace the castle where Odilia was actually born. Parts of the old Hohenstauferburg were built into the elongated two-storey property, as Romanesque window reveals prove. The ground floor of the building is dominated by mighty round arches and made of stone, the slightly protruding upper floor was built with exposed framework. A steep gable roof with small dormers in rows of three cover the structure.

Oberkirch St-Jean-Baptiste | Only ruins have been preserved from the former Church of St. John the Baptist in the former village of Oberlinden. The nave was built in the 11th century, the tower in the 13th century. When the Oberkirch family switched to Protestantism, the small church also became Protestant in 1570 and was then the family's private and burial chapel. The church was destroyed during the French Revolution. Remains of the two lower floors of the tower and the outer walls of the Romanesque nave with mighty corner blocks made of sandstone have been preserved. Thomas Murner was pastor here.

City fortifications | In 1079 Obernai came under the influence of the Hohenstaufers and in 1262 became a free imperial city . During this time Obernai was fortified, which consisted of an outer wall, a moat and a 1.4 km long circular wall around the old town. Parts of the houses were integrated into the fortification. Of the original 38 semicircular towers and 12 city gates, 12 towers and four gates have been preserved.
