List of natural monuments in Vienna / Landstrasse

The list of natural monuments in Vienna / Landstrasse lists all as a natural monument designated properties in the 3rd Vienna district highway on. According to the definition of the City of Vienna, the 11 natural monuments are ten individual natural monuments and one flat natural monument.

		English oak ( Quercus robur )	139	Vienna , between Grimmelshausengasse / Bayerngasse KG:  Landstrasse GrStNr: 916/13 location	The pedunculate oak ( Quercus robur ) is located in a garden at Grimmelhausengasse 5 behind the Modenapark and has been declared a natural monument due to its trunk size.		04/14/1938

		Oriental plane tree ( Platanus orientalis )	389	Vienna , Kleingasse 3 KG:  Landstrasse GrStNr: 1635/3 location	The Oriental plane tree ( Platanus orientalis ) had a height of 21 m, a chest height of 2.5 m and a crown diameter of 18 m at the time of the investigation.		03/31/1952
		Sequoia tree ( Sequoiadendron giganteum )	506	Vienna , Rennweg 2 KG:  Landstrasse GrStNr: 1052/2 location	The giant sequoia tree ( Sequoiadendron giganteum ) in the garden of Palais Schwarzenberg was declared a natural monument because of its shape, size and rarity as well as its effect on its surroundings.		10/06/1959
		White mulberry tree ( Morus alba )	548	Vienna , Weißgerberlände 42 KG:  Landstrasse GrStNr: 230/5 location	The white mulberry ( Morus alba ) was placed under protection because of its beauty and health as well as its cultural and historical importance. It is reminiscent of the mulberry trees that go back to the Maria Theresian period and were planted for silk production.		09/14/1972
