List of parties intending to participate in the 2013 Bundestag election

According to § 18 (2) of the Federal Electoral Act had to parties their intent to participate in the general election in 2013 to the 97th day before the election (17 June 2013) the Federal Election Show, provided they do not own in the German Bundestag or a Landtag since the last election due Nominations were represented without interruption by at least five MPs. The list shows all parties and associations that have submitted this notification of participation for the 2013 Bundestag election . The numbering follows the order in which the notifications were received.

On July 4th and 5th, the federal electoral committee determined which parties are allowed to submit nominations if they can show sufficient signatures of support by July 15th. At this time, the CDU , SPD , FDP , LINKE , GRÜNE and CSU were already represented in the Bundestag , FREE VOTERS , NPD and pirates in state parliaments and therefore did not need any support signatures or notification of the intention to participate, but could submit their election proposals directly to the state returning officers.

On July 24, the Federal Constitutional Court ruled on the complaints of twelve rejected parties. Only the German National Assembly (DNV) was successful here. All other complaints were dismissed.

The state electoral committees decide on the approval of the state lists, see last column for accepted (and rejected or withdrawn) state lists.
