This is a list of cities in Malta .

By far the largest agglomeration in Malta is the area around the capital Valletta with a population of 255,763 (as of January 1, 2006). This means that 66 percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region. However, the city of Valletta only has 5,700 inhabitants (2013), making it the 29th largest city in Malta.

The table shows the cities with more than 5,000 inhabitants, the results of the census of November 16, 1985, November 26, 1995 and November 27, 2005, an official calculation as of December 31, 2013 and the district to which the city belongs , listed. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
