An elongated, two-storey building with a cordon cornice under a gable roof and a curved gable on the eastern front, attached to the vestibule of the Mariahilfberg pilgrimage church at an obtuse angle in the southeast. The monastery building was built from 1679 to 1685 by the master builder Peter Baron and expanded by four window axes in 1724 .

The three-storey four-wing building around a rectangular courtyard was rebuilt or expanded in several phases (1670–1683 by Peter Baron for Count Johann Balthasar II of Hoyos, probably 1706–1718, 1718–1720, 1816–1819 and 1909–1910 by Julius Deininger ). Around 1814/21 the garden adjoining the palace on the south side was redesigned from a French pleasure garden (baroque garden) into a landscape garden.

The baroque hall church was built from 1710 to 1724 instead of a previous church that burned down in 1708. It has a wide, projecting vestibule and a striking south-east facade with a facade tower (1710 by Paul Ördl). To the east, at an obtuse angle, is the Servite monastery.

The castle, which is essentially late Romanesque, was first mentioned in a document in 1220. The initially small hill fort was expanded to the east around 1240. Duke Friedrich the Fair died here in 1330 . - After severe damage, the castle was generously rebuilt and rebuilt around 1600 to around 1630. From the 19th century, the complex fell into disrepair. The castle has been owned by the Hoyos family since 1595 .

The keep, which is still provided with a roof, divides the complex into a western stronghold without an inner courtyard and the eastern outer bailey, with a lower gate to the south in front of it.
