The oldest known and still existing, planned former workers 'settlement in Europe, built in 1747–56 under Empress Maria Theresa and secured by a wall with three gates (today only two), originally consisting of factory and administration buildings, workers' houses and the branch church St. Theresia .

The Adlertor is the only one of the three gates that survived from the founding phase of the Nadelburg. The arched portal has a volute-framed gable and is crowned by a monumental double-headed eagle. As in 1996/1997, the gate was renovated in 2015 from the school building yard of the HTL Wiener Neustadt .

The Wiener Neustädter Canal was put into operation in 1803 and extended up to 63 km. Originally it was planned as far as Trieste . Parts of the route were later converted to railway lines, so that the movement of goods fell sharply from 1879 onwards.

Description: Brief information about the monument.

The table is sorted alphabetically according to the location of the monument. The sorting criterion is the cadastral municipality and within this the address.
