The former seat of the mining court in Greifenburg-Steinfeld, which was located in Steinfeld from the end of the 15th century until the time of Maria Theresa, was built under Georg Singer, chief miner since 1552. After gold and silver mining ceased in 1780, the building first went to Gottlieb Freiherr von Ankershofen, then to Prince Porcia's sister; it was sold to the merchant Johann Plazotta at the time of the French and again to Prince Porcia in 1829; Repeated changes of ownership in the 20th century. In 1994 it was adapted for the municipal administration.

The two-storey (formerly three-storey) wide-spread building dates from the middle of the 16th century, it has a high gable roof. The main facade has six irregularly arranged window axes, buttresses at the left corner and a round arched portal above which there is a stucco frame field with the coat of arms of the Porcia from 1896. The entire facade decor (cornices, triangular gables over the upper floor windows) probably dates from this time. On the right corner of the house there is a round arched crenellated portal to the courtyard and a crenellated wall from the 19th century. The well-fortified enclosing wall on the south side with loopholes and towers on the south-east and south-west corner dates from the 16th century.
