The building is a two-storey corner house with a late Gothic core, which was built in the 17th and 18th centuries. Century was changed in the attic floor. The facade was changed at the beginning of the 20th century. A baroque sculpture of Anna Selbdritt stands in a round arch niche in the attic zone . On the ground floor and in the upper floor rooms, the house has stitch cap barrels or groin vaults with partly plastered ridges from the beginning of the 16th century.

The Gasthaus Kohmayer is a three-story building with a bent front. The core of the house dates from the 16th century, the facade was historicized in the third quarter of the 19th century. The Renaissance portal bears the inscription: “ Protegat has aedes divina potentia semper et procul a nobis arceat omne malum 1593 ” (The power of God protect this house and keep all evil away 1593). The entrance to the house has a needle cap barrel from the 16th century. The middle section of the first floor was designed as a historicist hall in the 19th century. The passage to the Hinteren Gasse is vaulted with a needle cap barrel.

In the town hall there are two ovens that were built around 1800 and come from the New Palace.

The house probably goes back to two previous Gothic buildings. A picture of the house with a moat roof and battlement wall exists from 1620 . From 1639 to 1932 the house was owned by the Counts of Lodron. It served as the official residence of the keeper of the Gmünd rule. The three-storey, seven-axis town house was built in the second half of the 16th century and probably rebuilt in the 17th century. The facades have a flat design typical of the early Baroque era with horizontal cornices. The two arched portals with a profiled transom and vaulted decoration have a straight profiled roof. A figurative cast iron relief and a coat of arms relief from 1560 are attached to the south facade. The entrance hall and the ground floor rooms are equipped with barrel vaults and groin vaults from the first half of the 16th century.

The house at Hauptplatz No. 27 originally formed a unit with the house at Hintere Gasse 28 . It was owned by the archbishopric and was bought by Count Christoph Lodron in 1639. 1932 in lifting the Lodron'schen Fideikommissherrschaft the building into a northern and a southern house was divided. The core of the two-storey house with six axes facing the main square dates from the 15th century, the baroque facade from the 17th century. The house has a round arched portal with a Lodron lion on the wedge-shaped keystone. The former wine cellar is vaulted by a mighty barrel with stitch caps. On the ground floor there is a stucco field ceiling with a concave-convex curved stucco frame from the middle of the 17th century.

The baroque architectural decor on the south and east façades was only added in the 1980s. The arched portal from the 16th century is crowned by two rectangular windows arranged in pairs. The former parish church stands next to the southern city gate and was consecrated to St. Pankratius . The church was already being built in 1286, and a three-bay ship was added in 1452. In 1792 the church was badly damaged in a fire and then sold to the postmaster Michael Platzer, who used it as a stagecoach shed and stable. From the original building, the choir with 5/8 end and star rib vault, the three-bay nave from 1452 with cross rib vault over buttresses and the round windows of the oldest building in the south wall are still present.

The Amthof is a former storage facility for tithe grain. In 1572 the farm was owned by Hans Christof von Pflügl, later the caretaker of Welsberg. The mighty, two-storey complex with a U-shaped floor plan comes from the 15th and 16th centuries. Century. Two external fronts are attached to the southwest corner of the city wall. In the southern wing of the building there is a needle cap barrel from the 16th century. In 1996 the vaulted rooms were adapted.

The building was the former dairy of Gmünd Castle and later served the administration of the Lodron rule. The complex consists of two gabled houses with half-hipped roofs, the core of which dates from the 15th century, but in the 16th / 17th century. Century underwent various modifications. The northern half of the house was the residential wing, the southern half was the administrative and commercial wing with prison cells, threshing floor, game cellar and carriage shed. The east facade is formed by the city wall from the 15th and early 16th centuries. The facade facing the city has rough, peeled plaster from the 17th century. The game cellar on the ground floor is a three-bay pillar hall with cross vaults and plastered ridges. The former bulk floor with wooden tram ceilings extends from the ground floor over all three floors and is now used as a local museum.

The Heiss-Haus, also called Emmaus-Haus, stands south of the Pankrazitores . The mighty, three-story corner building with a crooked roof and pilasters was erected in the first half of the 18th century. The archangel Michael is depicted on wood on the upper floor, above the door of the house the mural marked 1723 shows Christ on the way to Emmaus . The hallway of the house is vaulted with a needle cap barrel.

The former subsidiary church of Saint Ulrich is a small building erected in the first half of the 14th century with a retracted 4/6 choir and remains of frescoes. The building was used as a barn in the 20th century. The building was acquired by the municipality and renovated from 2013.
