List of Jewish high priests in Herodian times
This list contains the high priests of Israel with the duration of their term of office from the accession of Herod the Great in 37 BC. Until the destruction of the temple by Titus in 70 AD.
Flavius Josephus reports in his work Jewish antiquities (chap. 20,250) that from the time of Herod to the day when Titus destroyed the temple, 28 high priests were appointed, whose term of office totaled 107 years.
With the exception of Aristobulus, the high priests have not come from the Hasmonean family since then .
