List of German documentaries from the time of National Socialism
This list of German documentaries contains German documentaries from the National Socialist era ( 1933–1945 ). Non-fictional films with a popular or popular science character were shown in the cinema as a sideline and referred to in contemporary jargon as “ cultural films ”. Many of them - but by no means all - served to popularize the National Socialist ideology.
For lists of National Socialist propaganda films, see: Reserved film , List of the highest rated Nazi feature films , List of German films banned under Allied military censorship .

The film was not released, the National Socialists were not sure enough of its planned, hate-generating effect on the German audience. Wist claimed in a trial after the war that he was unaware of the dimensions of the ghetto catastrophe. Months before his suicide, Czerniaków wrote about the shooting in the ghetto: "This 'Jewish film' is the prologue to a catastrophe."
