"Text & Language" literary prize from the German Business Culture Group

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The “Text & Language” literary prize of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft is a German literature prize awarded annually by the Kulturkreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft .

The prize was originally awarded to writers and playwrights as the literary prize of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft and the Dramatist Prize of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft . The literary prize was awarded from 2009 in the prose (20,000 euros) and poetry categories, alternating with translation (10,000 euros). The forerunner of the award was the honorary gift of the Kulturkreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft in the BDI , which was renamed the Hans-Erich-Nossack-Preis in 1989 . Since 2017, only one prize worth 20,000 euros has been awarded and accordingly renamed the literary prize "Text & Language" .

An application is not possible, the candidates are proposed and selected by the members of the literature committee, which is made up of members of the cultural group of German business and specialist advisors. The prize is awarded to a complete literary work. The aim of the award is to support authors financially and to make them known.
