content

As a young child, Akko Kagari was impressed by the magic of the witch Chariot. Since then, the bright girl herself has wanted to be as great a witch as her role model. Therefore she enrolls at the Luna Nova witch school. But despite her ambitions, Akko has little talent as a witch and therefore has problems getting to school at all. Only with the help of the student Lotte and her broom does she manage to do this. Once at school, the problems for Akko don't stop. She has to make up for her lack of talent with dedication and cleverness. She befriends her roommates Lotte Jansson and Sucy Manbavaran, while the school's best pupil, Diana Cavendish, often argues with Akko. Ako's role model Chariot has fallen out of favor at school and magic as a whole is viewed as backward and on the decline in the world around school. Akko wants to defend itself against both.

Anime

Studio Trigger produced the 26-minute short film Little Witch Academia in 2013 under the direction of Yō Yoshinari . Yoshinari also came up with the idea for the film and the character design.
