Liu Qiuhong ( Chinese  刘秋宏 , Pinyin Liú Qiūgóng , born November 26, 1988 in Mudanjiang ) is a Chinese short tracker .

Liu first appeared internationally in January 2004 when she competed in the Chinese 2000 m relay at the 2004 Junior World Championships and won silver. In the next few winters she left out other races outside the national and only came back in the 2007/08 Short Track World Cup . There she was able to reach the podium over 1500 meters in third place in her second World Cup race. In the next World Cups she was always able to place in the top ten, before she won her first World Cup victory in the 500 m distance on November 25, 2007 in Heerenveen .

After Liu had won two more third places in the 2007/08 season and finished fifth overall in the 1500 m World Cup, she also competed in the 2008 World Championships on four courses. While she finished sixth over 1500 meters and was eliminated in the quarter-finals on the 1000 meters, she was able to win the silver medal behind her compatriot Wang Meng on the 500 m distance and thus qualify for the 3000 m superfinal of the best seven. In that only race in which Wang Meng did not win, she was again sixth. In the addition of the points earned for their placements, she finally came in fifth overall.

In the World Cup 2008/09 Liu started with further podium finishes by finishing one of the first two races of the season over 500 meters and over 1000 meters in second place. In the first relay world cup of the season she was able to improve the world record of the South Koreans by almost three seconds together with Wang Meng, Zhang Hui and Zhou Yang in the semi-finals. In addition, she won her second race at the third World Cup station in her home country, again over 500 meters.

Liu won gold at the 2008 Team World Championships in Harbin , as well as in Heerenveen in 2009 . In 2011 in Warsaw she won bronze with the team and at the Winter Asian Games 2011 in Astana and Almaty gold with the relay. At the 2011 World Championships in Sheffield , she was world champion with the relay and won bronze over 500 and 3000 m. The relay world championship she could with the Chinese season and 2,012 in Shanghai , 2013 in Debrecen and 2014 in Montreal win. In addition, she was second in Shanghai over 1500 m.

At the Olympic Games in Sochi , she won no medal. She was fourth over 500 m and disqualified with the relay in the final.
