Live chat is a live support , live marketing - and web analytics - Application for companies of all sizes. The software is available as Software as a Service (SaaS).

Developed by LiveChat Software, the application was released in 2002. The system enables real-time contact with website visitors and is currently used by over 7,000 companies, including the United States Department of State , Bosch , Kaspersky Lab , Maybank and UNICEF .

According to LeadLedger, LiveChat is one of the three largest chat software providers worldwide.

Functions

The LiveChat system consists of three elements: the internet- based chat module, the chat interface for the agents and the web browser-based user interface. The employee applications are available for Windows , macOS and mobile devices ( Android , Apple iOS and Blackberry ).

There are two ways in which an online chat can be initiated:

  • Passive communication : the visitor clicks the chat button on the website .
  • Active communication: Either the support employee manually invites the visitor to chat, or a suitable criterion is met and the chat module automatically invites visitors. Such criteria are e.g. B. Time spent on the page, search term used, URL address where the visitor is located, etc. If such a criterion is met, the chat window opens with any greeting. During the chat conversation, employees can complete sales, which increases the conversion rate.

In addition to the chat more features are real-time - traffic display and the chat diagnostics for evaluation of employee performance.

LiveChat is proprietary software and is available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Greek, Russian, Croatian, Czech, Estonian, Lithuanian, Slovak, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese. Translations into other languages ​​are implemented by the users .
