Lyudmila Mikhailovna Matveyeva

Lyudmila Michailowna Matvejewa ( Russian Людмила Михайловна Матвеева , English transcription Lyudmila Matveyeva; born February 1, 1957 in Ufa ) is a former Russian long-distance runner .

Starting for the Soviet Union , she came in twelfth place at the 1986 World Cross Country Championships in Colombier and 59th in 1988 in Auckland . In 1988 she was twelfth over 10,000 m at the Olympic Games in Seoul .

In 1992 she was second over 10 km at the Paderborn Easter run . At the Olympic Games in Barcelona , she competed over 10,000 m for the United Team , but was eliminated in the preliminary run.

The following year she came second in the Berlin Half Marathon , third in the Berlin Women's Run and won the Paderborn Easter Run in the half marathon , the 25 km from Berlin , the Berlin City Night and the Jever Fun Run .

In 1988 she became the Soviet champion over 10,000 m .
