Lyudmila Sergejewna Solomatina ( Russian Людмила Сергеевна Соломатина ; born April 26, 1981 ) is a Russian biathlete .

Lyudmila Solomatina quickly achieved success in her career. At the age of 18, she took part in the Biathlon European Championships in Zakopane in 2000 and finished 15th in the sprint and 13th in the pursuit. After that, it took a long time for Solomatina to achieve further success. The year 2009 marked the return to the top of the world, but now as a summer biathlete in the cross-country style . At the Summer Biathlon European Championships in 2009 in Nové Město na Moravě she was fifth in the sprint, with only half a second behind the bronze rank. In the mass start race, she again missed a medal in fourth place. With Tatjana Belkina , Alexander Katschanowski and Alexei Katrenko she finally won the gold medal with the Russian mixed relay. This was followed by participation in the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , where Solomatina again achieved good results. She finished ninth in both the sprint and the pursuit.
