Marin Tarroch started in Kaprun in 2006 for the first time in the European Cup and achieved 92nd place. In April 2007 in Serfaus he came eighth for the first time in the top ten in the European Cup. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he drove his first World Cup race in Chapelco , which he did not finish. At the 2009 World Snowboard Championships in Gangwon , he finished 15th and in his first Olympic participation in 2010 in Vancouver, 34th place. In February 2012 he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with fifth place in Blue Mountain and his first podium result in the European Cup with third place in Sochi . In the following month he came on the podium for the first time in the World Cup in Chiesa in Valmalenco and reached the 15th place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup by the end of the season. At the 2013 Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham , he finished 21st. The following year, he came in 25th at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. In March 2014 he won his first European Cup victory in Lenk . The FIS Snowboarding World Championships 2015 at Kreischberg he finished eighth. After eighth place at the beginning of the 2015/16 season in Montafon , he came third at the World Cup in Feldberg . Two more top ten results followed and at the end of the season eighth place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup. At the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada , he came in 28th.
