Loïc Prévot (born February 10, 1998 in Remire-Montjoly , French Guiana ) is a French athlete who specializes in sprinting .

Athletic career

Loïc Prévot gained his first international experience at the 2015 CARIFTA Games in Basseterre , where he finished sixth in the 200-meter run in 21.52 s and fifth over 400 meters in 47.78 s. He then reached the semi-finals at the Youth World Championships in Cali over both distances, in which he was eliminated with 21.78 s and 47.03 s. The following year he finished fifth at the CARIFTA Games in St. George’s over 200 meters in 21.16 s and fourth in the 400-meter run in 46.91 s. He then took part in the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz over 200 meters , but could not finish his heat there. At the CARIFTA Games 2017 in Willemstad, he finished seventh over 400 meters in 48.92 s and then took part in the French 4 x 100 meter relay at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto , where he helped Team to the finals. In 2018 he took part in the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla and reached the semi-finals over 200 meters, in which he was eliminated with 21.58 s, while he failed over 400 meters with 47.40 s in the first round.

In 2019 he took sixth place over 200 meters at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 21.21 seconds and won the bronze medal behind the teams from Germany and the with the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 05.36 minutes United Kingdom.
