Lobo is a Filipino municipality in Batangas Province . The community is located on the busy shipping route of the Isla Verde Strait , which is considered a hot spot for biodiversity in the underwater world in the Philippines and worldwide.
origin of the name
There are different explanations for the origin of the name. The first assumes that the name goes back to the Spanish word lobo for wolf. The second assumes that the name is derived from the Lobo River, which flows through the area of the municipality.
