Taal is a Filipino municipality in Batangas Province . It has 56,327 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). The community is located on Balayan Bay . The largest church in the Philippines, the Basilica of St. Martin of Tours, is located in the community . In the commune was Felipe Agoncillo born (1859-1941), who became known as the first diplomat of the first Philippine Republic .
