The Lochmühlengraben , sometimes colloquially also called Bunter Bach , is a 3 km long, orographically left tributary of the Wieda in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .
course
The Lochmühlengraben rises south of the small town of Ellrich , on the connecting road L 1039 to Gudersleben . From there it flows, mostly straightened, in a south-easterly direction through a valley surrounded by forest on the left and fields on the right. After about half of the flow, it absorbs the water of the Breiten Born . After a good two thirds, the stream touches the eponymous Lochmühle , which administratively belongs to Gudersleben. After crossing under the L 2067 , which leads from Branderode to Woffleben , the Lochmühlengraben flows into the Wieda. In summers with little precipitation, the water of the year-round flowing creek seeps into the karst river bed of the Wieda.
