Logan Sankey (born May 28, 1998 in Steamboat Springs , Colorado ) is an American ski jumper .
Career
Sankey made her debut in the Continental Cup on January 18, 2015 . She achieved Continental Cup points in Falun, Sweden, with places 16 and 11. The eleventh place in the second competition of the day is her best placement in the Continental Cup to this day. With the points she gained, she finished the 2014/15 season in 36th place in the overall Continental Cup ranking. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Almaty , Sankey reached the 30th place in the individual competition. At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , Norway , she was twelfth in the individual and tenth with the mixed team. A week later she finished 30th in the individual competition at the Junior World Championships in Râşnov, Romania , while she was twelfth with the US mixed team. At the US Championships in Park City in 2016 , she won the bronze medal on the large hill behind Jessica Jerome and Cara Larson .
At the beginning of the 2016/17 season she was used in the FIS Cup without great success , but then came to two more Continental Cup appearances in December 2016 in Notodden, Norway , without being able to collect any further points. After two top ten placements at FIS Cup competitions in Eau Claire , she took part in the 2017 Junior World Championships in Park City, where she was 38th in the individual competition and eighth with the US women's junior team. Then she jumped again in the FIS Cup, before she was used again in Notodden in the Continental Cup in December 2017 and was able to win Continental Cup points again after almost three years with places 15 and 16. On January 28, 2018, she jumped in the World Cup for the first time in Ljubno, Slovenia , but missed the points when she was 37th. A week later she competed at the Junior World Championships in Kandersteg, Switzerland, and achieved her best individual result at a Junior World Championship with 20th place. In the team competitions she was tenth with the US mixed team and eleventh with the junior team.
At the start of the 2018/19 season she jumped again in Notodden in the Continental Cup and was able to collect further points in this series with places 16 and 17. At the beginning of 2019 she took part regularly in World Cup competitions, but has not yet been able to reach the second round and thus the points. The 36th place in Râşnov on January 27, 2019 is her best World Cup result so far. At the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tirol , she was tenth with the US women's team.
