Loiron is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Loiron-Ruillé with 1,693 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Mayenne in the region Pays de la Loire . The inhabitants are called Loironnais .

On January 1, 2016, the municipality of Loiron merged with Ruillé-le-Gravelais to form the Commune nouvelle Loiron-Ruillé. It belonged to the Arrondissement Laval and was part and capital of the canton of Loiron of the same name .
