The London Metropolitan Orchestra

The London Metropolitan Orchestra is a London-based studio orchestra specializing in the arrangement and recording of film music . The orchestra has been headed by Andy Brown since it was founded in 1994. The orchestra has worked with both British and US film and television producers ( BBC , ITV , Walt Disney Studios ).

The two Oscar- nominated films Don Juan de Marco and Mr. Holland's Opus , for which Michael Kamen wrote the music , are among the first films to have a soundtrack with the orchestra . In addition to Kamen, the orchestra has worked with a number of renowned film composers, including a. with Klaus Badelt , Danny Elfman , Elliot Goldenthal , Mark Isham , Harald Kloser , David Newman , Barrington Pheloung , Basil Poledouris , Ed Shearmur , Howard Shore , Vangelis and Christopher Young , also with other contemporary composers such as James Seymour Brett (* 1974), Normand Corbeil , Ilan Eshkeri , Gregor Narholz (* 1969), Atli Örvarsson , Antonio Pinto and Michael Price .
