history

The place was an estate owned by Baron Schenk von Schmidtburg . On January 9, 1298, Ysembard von Godewilre ( Gutweiler ) from Lonzenburg sold his properties in Luntzenbrech to the Dominican monastery of St. Katharina in Trier . The monastery leased the farm to competent farmers by means of court letters .

Attractions

The Banneux pilgrimage chapel from 1957 is located in Lonzenburg .
