Lore Tappe

Lore Tappe-Musch (born April 23, 1934 in Bremerhaven ; † February 12, 2014 in Schwerin ) was a German actress and radio play speaker .

Life

Lore Tappe grew up in Halle on the Saale . She studied at the sports college, played theater on the side and passed the drama exam without her parents' knowledge. From August 1966 to the end of 1999 she was engaged at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin , where she also appeared repeatedly in later years and played a large number of roles. She was Winnie in Samuel Beckett's play Happy Days or was part of the discoveries as Klytaimnestra under the direction of Christoph Schroth . She achieved great popularity in 1979 as Mephisto in Schroth's staging of Faust I and Faust II , both of which were shown in one evening. This piece was on the program for ten years, the last time on June 4, 1989 with the 106th performance. In 1995, 1997 and 2000 she played the role of Trude in the world premieres of the three parts of Einar Schleef's Trumpets of the Dead under the direction of Ernst M. Binder .

Few of Lore Tappe's works in front of the camera are known, especially in the 1980s she took part in a number of radio play productions for the GDR radio . Tappe was married to the opera singer Dietrich Musch. She died at the age of 79 in the Mecklenburg state capital.
