Lorenz Hilkes (born August 31, 1950 in Amern ) is a former German football player .
Career
Borussia Monchengladbach
Hilkes began his professional career in 1973 with Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach after he had come to the "Bökelberg" through the amateur teams of FC Bayern Munich , SC Waldniel and 1. FC Viersen . At the beginning of the 1974/75 season he played five Bundesliga games from August 24 to October 12, 1974 and on September 18, 1974, in the 1-2 first-round defeat at SSW Innsbruck , a game in the UEFA Cup competition. For one season he returned to the Netherlands for second division club FC Volendam . The last three seasons he played for the San Diego Sockers in the North American Soccer League.
