Lorenz Koller (born September 26, 1994 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ) is an Austrian luge rider .

Career

Koller started in January 2012 at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck in a two-seater. With his toboggan partner, Thomas Steu , from Vorarlberg , he finished sixth.

At the Luge World Championships in 2016 , he reached the sixth overall place, and at the Luge World Championships in 2017 he finished fourth in the doubles sprint. In 2017 he also became U23 world champion and vice-European champion in the team relay in doubles with Thomas Steu.

Lorenz Koller took part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , South Korea . With Steu, he finished fourth.

On November 24, 2018, Koller and Steu celebrated their first World Cup victory in Igls .

In the European Championships artificial track luger in Lillehammer Lorenz Koller took the silver medal with his partner Thomas STEU in January 2020th
