Lori Forte

Lori Forte is an American film producer . She was best known as the producer of the Ice Age series.

Life

Forte has appeared as a producer of animated films since the late 1990s. She first worked for the animation film division of 20th Century Fox . In 2002 she produced the animated film Ice Age . Forte developed the idea for the film together with Fox and Blue Sky Studios . With a worldwide grossing of US $ 383 million, the film was one of the big hits of the cinema year 2002. She was also responsible for the production of the films at Blue Sky Studios for all subsequent parts of the series and the short films.

The production of the animated film Ferdinand - Goes STIERisch! earned her and Carlos Saldanha a nomination for best animated feature film at the 2018 Academy Awards .

Before working as a producer, she taught at the American Film Institute . She is a member of the Producers Guild of America .
