Lost World Order is a thrash metal band from Bielefeld .

history

Specter Dragon

The band was formed in 1990 under the name Specter Dragon . Under this name, the band initially released four demos , which musically were more likely to be found in the field of heavy or speed metal and had lyrics influenced by fantasy . After the singer left in 1999, the guitarist Mat also took over the vocals, while the band became musically heavier and heavier. In 2002 the debut album Under Hell's Command was released via Housemaster Records . Three years later the album Beyond Creation followed , with which Specter Dragon had turned to Thrash Metal. At that time the musicians were no longer satisfied with the band name because, in their opinion, it no longer suited the music. A new name was sought that, according to singer Mat, would sound like metal and convey a message that the lyrics and music of the band bring with it. In 2007, Specter Dragon became Lost World Order.

Lost World Order

A year later, the band released their first album under the new name, This Apparatus Must Be Earthed! via Musicaz Records . A tour with Cripper and Hatred followed . A year later, the band began a trilogy on the theme of the end times . The first album Marauders was self-published and produced by Jörg Uken. Thematically, the album deals with the aftermath of a fictional Third World War in which mankind fell and tried to establish a new civilization. The band compared the concept to feature films like Mad Max or Land of the Dead . The second part Parasites then followed in 2012 and was released on Good Damn Records . The band had the misfortune that the distribution company went bankrupt two weeks after the release .

In the meantime, all the musicians from Lost World Order had left the band Eïs . Singer Mat, bassist McZ and drummer Draconiz then founded the band Powergame . Lost World Order, however, ended their trilogy with the fourth studio album Tyrants , which was released in 2016 by Ragnarök Records . Jens Finger and Bernd Reiners from the band Slaughterday can be heard as guest musicians on the album . In terms of content, the concept ends in that the last surviving people meet on the battlefields and continue fighting until no one survives.

style

While Specter Dragon still played more classic Heavy Metal or Speed Metal, Lost World Order developed into a Thrash Metal band. The lyrics are about war and social problems. Patrick Schmidt from the German magazine Rock Hard recommended the album Tyrants to all Thrashers who have found their calling somewhere between Onslaught , Forbidden and Kreator . Schmidt compared the singing with that of the Kreator singer Mille Petrozza .
