Lothar Riebsamen

Lothar Riebsamen (born September 24, 1957 in Pfullendorf ) is a German business economist and politician ( CDU ). From 1982 to 1990 he worked as a hospital administrator, from 1990 he was mayor of the community of Herdwangen-Schönach and moved into the Bundestag in 2009 for constituency 293 Bodensee . He has been a member of the Health Committee since 2009 .

Life

Lothar Riebsamen grew up in Schwäblishausen and attended the Hohenzollern High School in Sigmaringen from 1967 to 1974 , which he finished with secondary school leaving certificate . Between 1974 and 1977 he completed his administrative training in the large district town of Überlingen . He found his first job in the municipality of Überlingen in 1977 before moving to Pfullendorf. From 1982 to 1986 he worked as a hospital administrator for the city of Meersburg and completed further training at the Administration and Business Academy in Konstanz , which he completed as an administrative business economist (VWA) .

From 1986 to 1990 he took on the leading position as head of the administration of the district hospitals and homes at the Waldshut district office . In 1990 Riebsamen was elected mayor of the Herdwangen-Schönach community in the Sigmaringen district. He held this position until October 2009.

In 2009 , 2013 and 2017 Riebsamen won the direct mandate in constituency 293 Bodensee and became a member of the German Bundestag .

Political activity

Riebsamen has been a member of the CDU since 1981 and a board member of the CDU community association Herdwangen-Schönach since 1991. As a member of the CDU parliamentary group, he has had a seat in the district council of the Sigmaringen district since 1994. He was the parliamentary group leader for eight years and was deputy chairman for another four years. In 2009 he became a member of the association assembly of the regional association Bodensee-Oberschwaben. He was an alternate member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection .

In the 19th German Bundestag , Lothar Riebsamen is a member of the Health Committee and a deputy member of the Transport Committee and the Finance Committee . In the Health Committee, he is responsible for the Union parliamentary group for the hospital sector, such as the financing / DRG system (Diagnosis Related Groups), documentation obligations and matters of the relevant directly and indirectly affected professional groups (e.g. paramedics), as well as the interlinking of the outpatient the stationary area. Riebsamen was a member of the supervisory board of Kliniken GmbH in the Sigmaringen district from 1996 to 2013 and has been a member of the board of directors of Sparkasse Pfullendorf-Meßkirch since 1991. He is also a member of numerous associations and a board member of the Herdwangen-Schönach Community Foundation.

Family and private

Riebsamen is Roman Catholic and married. He has two grown sons with his wife Ellen and lives in Herdwangen-Schönach. Lothar Riebsamen had to answer in March 2011 at the “laudable, omniscient and extremely revered imperial city jester's court in Pfullendorf” (Pfullendorf footbridge court).
