Louis-Marie de Noailles
Louis-Marie, vicomte de Noailles (born April 17, 1756 Paris , † January 7, 1804 in Havana , Cuba ) was a French général de brigade and businessman.
Louis-Marie was the younger of Marshal Philippe de Noailles-Mouchy's two sons . He participated in Lafayette's expedition to America and was the officer who completed the surrender of Yorktown .
He joined the cause of the revolution with enthusiasm , was one of the first members of the nobility to convert to the National Assembly , applied for the abolition of feudal rights on August 4, 1789 , then commanded Sedan and Valenciennes .
After the establishment of the Republic of France, he emigrated to America and became a partner of Binghams Bank in Philadelphia . He returned under the consulate and then went to Haiti under Rochambeau as Général de brigade , defended it against the English and died of his wounds in Havana, Cuba in 1804.
His older brother was Philippe-Louis-Marc-Antoine de Noailles .

- His bust was placed in the Battle Gallery of the Palace of Versailles , which opened in 1837 .
