Louis-de-Gonzague Langevin
Louis-de-Gonzague Langevin MAfr (born October 31, 1921 in Oka , † July 21, 2003 in Saint-Hyacinthe ) was Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe .
Life
Louis-de-Gonzague Langevin joined the Order of the White Fathers and was ordained a priest on February 2, 1950 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on August 9, 1974 auxiliary bishop in Saint-Hyacinthe and titular bishop of Rossmarkaeum . The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Canada , Guido Del Mestri , ordained him bishop on September 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Louis Joseph Jean Marie Fortier , Archbishop of Sherbrooke , and Albert Sanschagrin OMI , Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe.
The Pope appointed him Bishop of Saint-Hyacinthe on July 14, 1979, and he was inaugurated on August 8 of the same year. On April 7, 1998, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
