Louise Lasser (born April 11, 1939 in New York City ) is an American actress.

Life

Lasser was born in New York and grew up in a Jewish family. She studied political science at Brandeis University . She was married to actor and director Woody Allen from 1966 to 1969 .

Career

Her marriage to Woody Allen gave her the opportunity to appear in some of his films and was also on the script for What's Up, Tiger Lily? from 1966 involved. She also became known for her portrayal of a neurotic housewife in the soap Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman , which ran 5 days a week from 1976 to 1977. In 1978, she was with Charles Grodin in the TV movie " Just you and me " ( Just me and you ) to see what emerged from a screenplay by her. In 1999 she starred in the film Mystery Men . A role in Requiem for a Dream followed the following year .
