Lovro Borčić

Lovro Borčić (born January 12, 1845 in Spalato / Split , Dalmatia , † September 7, 1911 in Trieste ) was a member of the Dalmatian Parliament and the Austrian House of Representatives .

Lovro Borčić was the son of Matko Borčić. After attending elementary school and high school in Spalato, he studied philosophy , physics and mathematics at the University of Vienna . In 1866 he passed the teaching examination for physics and mathematics for secondary schools . As early as 1864 he was supplent , from 1867 professor of mathematics and physics at the upper secondary school in Spalato, from 1873 at the lower secondary school in Sebenico / Šibenik , most recently also provisional director. From 1875 he was the main teacher at the teacher training institute in Ragusa / Dubrovnik in Dalmatia . Lovro Borčić was a member of the Right Center Club from 1885. From 1891 he was a member of the Conservative Club. Since November 23, 1893 he was with the Croatian-Slovenian Club ( Hrvatsko-slovenski klub ). In 1897 he became a member of the Slavic Christian National Association ( Slovanska krščanska-narodna zveza ), in 1901 in the Slovenian-Croatian Club ( Kroatsko-slovenski Klub ). From June 10, 1902 he belonged to the Slavic Union ( Slovanska zveza ) (Croatian National Party).
