Lower Killeyan , also Lower Killean , is a small scattered settlement on the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay . It is located in the southwest of the Oa peninsula, about 500 m from the west coast. The nearest towns are Upper Killeyan, one kilometer south, and Kinnabus, 1.5 km to the east . The now abandoned settlement Giol is one kilometer north. Lower Killeyan forms the end of a road that leads to Port Ellen via Coillabus and Cragabus .

Lower Killeyan itself consists of only a few houses. In 1861, 59 people were still counted in Lower Killeyan, divided into twelve families. Of these, 31 were male and 28 female. In 1882 there were six partially roofed and three roofed buildings in Lower Killeyan. In 1981 there were four thoughtful, one partially thoughtful and four thoughtless.

The remains of a dun may have been discovered on the cliffs at Lower Killeyan . The remains of the wall that were found indicate that an area of ​​19 × 13.5 m 2 was enclosed. The access was probably in the north-northeast.
