history

In 1376, Vladimir II , the governor of the Principality of Halych-Volodymyr , allowed a certain Stanisław Toka to found a new village Gorky on the Schowa et Lubachowa brooks on 60 Franconian Hufen under German law. A hoof should be for a [Roman Catholic] church. The name Gorky (Górki) did not establish itself because later it was named after the local brook. In 1401 the village of Lubatow belonged to the famous knight Jan Zyndram of Maszkowice . In 1412 the village, which this time belonged to the bishops of Przemyśl, was re-established under Magdeburg law .

During the first partition of Poland , Lubatowa became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804). From 1855 Lubatowa belonged to the Krosno District .

After the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Lubatowa came to Poland in 1918. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .

On July 24, 1944, 72 inhabitants of the area were killed by the SS division "Galicia" , which is why the village was honored with the battle cross.

From 1975 to 1998 Lubatowa was part of the Krosno Voivodeship .
