Luc Cyr
Luc Cyr (born November 21, 1953 in Saint-Jérôme ) is Archbishop of Sherbrooke .
Life
Luc Cyr was ordained a priest on August 29, 1980 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Valleyfield on May 10, 2001 . The Archbishop of Montréal , Cardinal Jean-Claude Turcotte , gave him episcopal ordination on June 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Gilles Cazabon OMI , Bishop of Saint-Jérôme , and Robert Lebel , Former Bishop of Valleyfield. As a motto he chose Un seul coeur, une seule âme ( One heart, one soul ).
He was named Archbishop of Sherbrooke on July 26, 2011 and inducted into office on September 29 of the same year.
