Luca Schuler (born January 17, 1998 in Schwyz ) is a Swiss freestyle skier .

Career

Schuler, who competes for Sc Schaffhausen, made his World Cup debut at the beginning of the 2013/14 season in Copper Mountain , which he finished in 20th place in slopestyle . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 32nd in slopestyle. Also this season he took second place in Big Air at the Fridge Festival in Vienna . In April 2014 he became Swiss champion in the Slopestyle discipline. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he came third at the Stubai Jam in Neustift in the Stubaital . In March 2015 he reached his first podium in the World Cup with third place in the Slopestyle in Silvaplana and thus finished fifth in the Slopestyle World Cup. In the same month he won the gold medal in slopestyle at the Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco . In the 2015/16 season he took seventh place in Big Air at the Winter X Games 2016 in Aspen and 15th place in Big Air at the X Games Oslo 2016. In April 2016, he became Swiss champion in Silvaplana Slopestyle. In the following season he finished third in the Big Air World Cup in El Colorado and second in Mönchengladbach and finally reached eighth place in the Big Air World Cup. At the Winter X Games 2017 he came 16th in Slopestyle and seventh in Big Air. In March 2017, he came tenth in Big Air and Freestyle at the X Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell. Skiing World Championships in Sierra Nevada to 29th place in Slopestyle. The following month he was again Swiss champion in slopestyle.
