Lucas Kerketta
Lucas Kerketta SVD (born September 20, 1936 in Kahupani ) is an Indian clergyman and emeritus bishop of Sambalpur .
Life
Lucas Kerketta joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries and was ordained a priest on October 25, 1969 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sambalpur on November 17, 1986 . The Archbishop of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar , Raphael Cheenath SVD, donated him episcopal ordination on March 1 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Alphonse Bilung SVD, Bishop of Rourkela , and Thomas Thiruthalil CM , Bishop of Berhampur .
On July 26, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
