Luciano Giovannetti (born July 26, 1934 in Civitella in Val di Chiana ) is former bishop of Fiesole .

Life

Luciano Giovannetti was ordained a priest on June 15, 1957 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Arezzo diocese . Paul VI appointed him on February 15, 1978 auxiliary bishop in Arezzo and titular bishop of Zaba .

The bishop of Sansepolcro , Cortona and Arezzo, Telesforo Giovanni Cioli OCarm , consecrated him bishop on April 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Franciolini , bishop emeritus of Cortona , and Angelo Scapecchi , auxiliary bishop in Cortona.

John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Fiesole on May 27, 1981, and he was instituted on July 6 of the same year. On February 13, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.

Luciano Giovannetti has been Grand Prior of the Lieutenancy Italia Centrale Apenninica of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem since 2010 .
