Lucie Désirée Arnaz (born July 17, 1951 in Hollywood , California ) is an American actress. She is the daughter of the actor couple Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball and the older sister of Desi Arnaz junior .

Life

Lucie Arnaz began her acting career in the 1960s with appearances on The Lucy Show , her mother's sitcom . In the follow-up show Here's Lucy , she had a regular engagement for the first time. In the role of Kim Carter , she played the daughter of the title character Lucy, who was played by her real mother.

After a long hiatus in the early 1970s, she returned to the camera in 1975 for the production of Who Is the Black Dahlia? , in which she played the mysterious murder victim Elizabeth Short . In 1980, she starred alongside Neil Diamond in The Jazz Singer , the remake of the 1927 film of the same name. For her performance, she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress .

In 1985 Arnaz got her own sitcom The Lucie Arnaz Show , which was canceled after only seven episodes. In 1986 she received the Sarah Siddons Award for her work in the Chicago musical My One and Only . In 1993 she won an Emmy for her documentary film Lucy and Desi: A Home Movie . In 2000 she played in a musical version of The Witches of Eastwick in London's West End.

In 1971 she married Phil Vandervort and the couple divorced in 1977. She has been married to actor Laurence Luckinbill since 1980 and the couple have three children.
