Ludger Abeln (born June 10, 1964 in Meppen ) is a German company spokesman; he was previously a radio and television presenter .

Career

Ludger Abeln grew up in Bokeloh near Meppen. After High School on school Marianum in Meppen he made a Bokeloh in training for cabinetmaker . Abeln completed his military service as a reserve officer candidate in medical battalion 11 in Leer . Abeln then studied English, history, and wood and plastics technology at the University of Hanover . After a traineeship , Abeln worked as an editor and moderator for various radio stations ( Antenne Niedersachsen , Radio ffn ). In his function as a reporter for the broadcaster Antenne Niedersachsen, Abeln traveled to Somalia as a war correspondent because of his knowledge of the military . There he reported for almost three weeks on the deployment of German troops in the UNOSOM mission of the United Nations; daily reporting and reports were part of his area of ​​responsibility.

In 1999 he switched to NDR television and worked in the Dat is wat !? , Police Report Lower Saxony and Talk op Platt , where he first acted as a co-moderator. From 2000 he moderated the regional magazine Hallo Niedersachsen , some episodes of the series Nordabend , the NDR quiz show and the show Lust auf Norden . Due to his knowledge of the Low German language , he presented the NDR regional magazine Lower Saxony at 7.30 p.m. in Low German and once a month on Sunday a TV morning pint also in Low German.

At the beginning of 2014 he ended his work at NDR and started a new professional life away from radio and television. He then worked for two years as press spokesman for Volkswagen AG Emden . Since the beginning of 2016 he has headed the network office at the Caritas Association Osnabrück and is on the board of the community foundation.

Private and social engagement

Ludger Abeln lives with his wife and son in Leer . Abeln has been a volunteer member of the Caritas Foundation of the Diocese of Osnabrück since September 2006 . As a former acolyte and Catholic youth group leader as well as a parish council member of his parish, Abeln has a bond with the Catholic faith. Since August 2009 he has been ambassador for Perspective 50 plus - employment pacts for older people in the regions in the Leer district.
