Rules of the game
Five candidates represent the federal states of Bremen , Hamburg , Lower Saxony , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Schleswig-Holstein , which are served by NDR and Radio Bremen .
The rules of the game have been changed several times in recent years. Currently (2015) a combination of open-ended questions and multiple-choice questions, which are answered by individual or all candidates, is used; There is a time limit for answering most questions. The candidates collect points in the course of the program; the winner receives a small sculpture (the lamp of the north ) and wins an amount of € 1,000.
At the end of the year, the candidates with the best points from each federal state compete against each other to determine the winner of the year.
effect
The success of the NDR quiz show encouraged other ARD regional broadcasters to include quiz shows with local flavor in their programs.
Candidates
The candidates are selected by a casting agency; an application as a candidate is possible via the NDR Quizshow website or at davidsonTV GmbH.
