Ludovic Butelle (born April 3, 1983 in Reims ) is a French football player .
Career
The French goalkeeper began his career with the youth of the French first division club FC Metz . Butelle joined the fighting team in 2001 and played his first professional game on February 2, 2002 against Olympique Lyon (1: 3), as the team's goalkeeper Jacques Songo'o played at the Africa Cup and the second goalkeeper Johan Liebus was injured. In his second season in 2002/03, he had already played 20 games in Ligue 1 . In the 2003/04 season he played 27 games for FC Metz.
In the summer of 2004 he moved to Spain with Valencia . He was Santiago Cañizares' substitute goalie alongside Mora . In the first season he was loaned to Hércules Alicante , where he played five games in the Segunda División . He played his first game for Valencia CF on March 19, 2006 against Racing Santander (1: 2). For the 2007/08 season he was loaned to Real Valladolid and in the following season to Lille OSC . Before the 2009/10 season, the Lille OSC took him under contract. Since he did not get past Mickaël Landreau there, however, he moved to the relegation-threatened second division Olympique Nîmes in 2010 .
From 2011 to 2014 he played for AC Arles-Avignon , after which he moved on to SCO Angers . After two seasons he moved to the Belgian first division club Bruges , where he celebrated the championship in 2016 . He was also named the best goalkeeper of 2016 in Belgium.
In January 2018 he returned to SCO Angers in Ligue 1 .
