Ludwig Braun (classical philologist)

Ludwig Braun (born May 16, 1943 in Köslin ) is a German classical philologist .

Ludwig Braun studied at the University of Frankfurt , where he worked with the doctoral thesis in 1968 of the canticles Plautus doctorate was. In 1978 he received his habilitation in Classical Philology and New Latin . In 1985 he accepted the appointment to a C3 professorship for Classical Philology at the University of Würzburg , where he worked until his retirement (2008).

Ludwig Braun is a specialist in ancient and early modern Latin literature.
