Ludwig Edler von Graeve

Ludwig Alexander Edler von Graeve , also Louis Alexander De Graeve , (born March 19, 1857 in Borek , Province of Posen , † May 15, 1919 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) was the owner of the manor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

He was a member of the 1786 ennobled family Noble von Graeve .

Graeve studied at the universities in Krakow , Halle and Breslau law . From 1880 to 1882 he was a trainee lawyer in Berlin . Grave made major trips abroad, especially for political studies he traveled to the Balkans . In addition, he ran agriculture on his manor in Slowikowo .

From 1884 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Posen 7 ( Schrimm , Schroda ) and the Polish parliamentary group . Shortly after he had won the Reichstag election in this constituency for the third time, he resigned on June 14, 1890. In 1895 he moved to the United States and settled in Philadelphia .
