Ludwig Heise

Ludwig August Wilhelm Heise (born March 12, 1815 in Giebichenstein ; † 1882 ) was a German administrative and ministerial official, parliamentarian and entrepreneur.

Life

Ludwig Heise attended high school in Eisleben . From 1835 to 1838 he studied law at the Friedrichs University in Halle . At the beginning of his studies he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Halle . After graduating, he became an auscultator in Halle (Saale) and trainee lawyer in 1840. In 1844 he got a job as a higher regional court assessor. In 1846 he was appointed to the paid city council in Halle. In 1851 he was appointed public prosecutor at the Halle district court and legal advisor for the Halle postal administration . He then became an administrative member of the Westphalian Railway Directorate in Munster, where he was appointed government councilor in 1857 and chairman in 1859. In 1863 he moved to the Prussian Ministry of Commerce in Berlin as a lecturer . In 1869 he left civil service at his own request and became director of the Rechts-Oder-Ufer-Eisenbahn. He was a founder and member of the supervisory board of other joint stock companies.

Heise was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1855 until his resignation in December 1856 he was a member of the constituency of Merseburg 8. From 1866 to 1873 he was a member of the constituency of Potsdam 4 (Oberbarnim, Niederbarnim) for three legislative periods and belonged to the Conservative Party .
